Tucuman
Tucumán is an important province in the northwest of the country. It is very picturesque combining its ancient colonial heritage- it was a landmark in the road to the “Alto Perú”- with the strength and vigour of its modern life. It has more than a million inhabitants. The landscape is varied combining mountains, subtropical forests, prairies, lakes, streams and rivers.
Its capital, San Miguel de Tucumán is called “the garden of the republic” due to its natural beauty, flowers, plants and a mild climate which allows a generous vegetation all year round. It is characterized by its cultural activities and social late night-life. Its University is very prestigious and has all the careers, attracting students from all over the country and even from neighbouring countries. Since the city is located at the foot of the mountains, it has easy access to different excursions and sports including rafting, trekking, horse-riding, hang gliding, rappel, etc.

Our Spanish School in Tucuman
The school is located in the centre of the city, the financial area, only five blocks away from the main square, the Plaza Independencia with its historical centre. n
Spanish Courses
The courses are divided into different categories: Standard, Intensive, Immersion, Spanish for Specific Purposes, and Individual, depending on the student’s needs.
The students are placed in the appropriate course according to their previous knowledge of the language. The different levels of learning are: Basic, Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Before starting the course, the student will be evaluated through an interview and an exam in which his or her level and specific needs are analysed and determined, thus allowing his or her placement in the corresponding course.
After School activities
During the week, the students have the opportunity to combine intensive Spanish courses or volunteer work with a great variety of other activities or work that takes place in the city or the surrounding countryside.
It is also possible for students who are interested, to take tango, folklore, salsa or other dance classes, as well as a variety of other options such as gym classes for example fight do, etc. Besides these activities, the student could go to music shows or the theatre.
Volunteer work
Our School is associated with organizations helping with different aspects of social problems in order that Volunteers can join different programmes and projects already functioning, working and interacting with local volunteers.
These projects have as a fundamental objective an enriching experience for both parties, where the volunteer as well as local people experience and share values, culture and character. The volunteer opportunities are important for the foreign visitor studying Spanish who has perhaps not yet mastered the whole language, and are ideal for perfecting comunication skills in an environment where the student has to communicate. Furthermore they are the ideal complement to complete their Argentine experience.
